Issued  by the Marine Nationale (French Navy) in
1976, the decommissioning papers that came
with this watch indicate it was retired from service
in September of 1999. Also included with this
watch is it's stamped storage tag. Materials like
this help establish the authenticity and
provenance of this type of collectible. It's not
uncommon in today's marketplace to see
non-issued watches with counterfeit military
engravings in an attempt to increase their value.
